Between May 14th and 18th, 2018 a total of 3,305 exhibitors from 58 countries attended Munich, Germany to present products and innovations to the environmental industry.  IFAT was attended by more than 141,000 experts from 160 countries where the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies highlighted the management of water, sewage, waste and raw materials.

Key topics addressed were more sustainable use of resources and improved recycling of plastic, water and waste.  The boom in this field can be directly correlated to today’s consumers rising awareness and their demand for the improvement of these technologies.  Since the discovery of micro plastics in groundwater, tap water and even bottled water, heightened importance has been given to the removal and elimination of microbeads and other plastics from the environment.

As a member of the Canadian pavilion, Heron Instruments was excited to have the opportunity to highlight our latest innovations and products.  We met and interacted with both existing and potential new customers from around the world.  Our representatives aroused a great deal of interest and enthusiasm in the attendees and were able to develop many potential business opportunities.

We appreciate the support of the Trade Commissioners of Ontario and Federal government as well as WaterTAP to support the SME businesses for growth potential in export markets. The networking opportunities and lead generation was very positive for Heron’s future growth opportunities in the EU.

We are already looking forward to the show in 2020!
