What is drawDown?
In static mode, the dipper-T is used for measuring the standing depth of water in wells, boreholes and standpipes. Switching to drawDown mode is as simple as the touch of a button and allows measurement of falling water levels during purging, well development and for low-flow sampling; helping protect your pumps from damage casued by dry running.
What have you taken away from the old dipper-T?
Nothing! The unit still includes features like:
- A fully field replaceable, pressure rated probe
- High tensile steel tape, twice as strong as regular steel, jacketed with polyethylene. Stretch resistant and guaranteed legible for a lifetime
- A padded carry case to protect the unit when out of use
- A tape guide and hanger to support the meter at the well head and protect the tape from sharp edges on the well casing
High tensile steel and longevity
We use high tensile steel because it contributes to the lifespan of our equipment. High tensile steel is more than 2 times stronger than regular steel, which records a tensile strength of around 40,000 PSI. It is the kind of steel trusted in highway safety fences and pre-stressed concrete and bridge ropes. You can trust it to remain intact when measuring ground water levels.
